Overview

ix Industrial cables offer a potential replacement for conventional RJ45 connections, taking up 75% less space than RJ45 with more robustness.

This allows for parallel 10mm pitch mounting which is ideal for daisy-chaining and connector dense applications.

The cables feature 5000 mating cycles and Cat6A performance for 10Gb/s Ethernet. The active locking of the socket and connector uses

two stable metal snap-in hooks, providing clear haptic feedback to confirm a secure connection.

A robust crimp connection ensures a durable interface that meets the high shock and vibration resistance established in EN 50155 railway specifications.

High resistance to vibration and motion along with a lockdown pins contribute to a 25N disengage force which allows ix connectors to function in spaces

where a standard RJ45 would fail.

The ix Industrial Interface System is available in Type A (Cat6A Ethernet) and Type B (non-Ethernet use such as signal and bus communication) codings

and is standardized according to IEC 61076-3-124.

Typical ix Industrial uses include medical devices, Machine Vision cameras, factory automation, robotics, PoE (power over Ethernet) and industrial switches.

BEHPEX Category 6a, 10g rated ix Industrial series cable assemblies are available with PUR jacket and TPE jacket options.

Connector combinations for all jacket types in both ix A and B keys include: ix plug to ix plug, ix plug to RJ45 plug and ix plug to RJ45 jack.
